This Cheesy Bacon Onion Dip is the perfect appetizer! It’s served warm and it’s creamy, cheesy, and has bits of bacon that make it irresistible!
So this cheesy bacon onion dip makes an appearance at all of our family functions! My aunt shared her recipe with me and I made a few tweaks of my own and I am so excited to share it with you!
This dip always gets devoured so quickly and gets tons of compliments!
The steps to make this are simple:
- Pre-heat your oven to 400 degrees.
- Chop your onion into small pieces (or large if you prefer that)
- Cook your bacon strips, drain them on paper towels, and chop into small pieces.
- Combine all of your ingredients (reserving 1/2 cup of cheese for the topping) in a large bowl.
- Spread the mixture into a greased pie pan or cast iron skillet and sprinkle with your 1/2 cup of cheese that you set aside. (I use a mixture of both cheeses for the topping).
- Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes or until the top is browned and bubbly.
- I like to serve this dip with a thin sliced baguette but let’s be honest…it’s good on anything!
I hope you enjoy!!

November 5, 2021 at 11:21 amYou said you used a mixture of both cheeses for the topping. Other than the cream cheese and parmesan cheese is there another cheese ( like cheddar)?
Is the recipe missing some info , or am I just not reading it right?
