Pour the 2 cans of pie filling into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Fold in the fresh strawberries.
In a separate bowl, use a hand mixer to mix together the cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla. Once smooth, pour or spoon the mixture over berries in the baking dish. Spread as much as possible but it's ok if it's not perfect.
Sprinkle the entire box of cake mix over the cream cheese mixture in the dish.
Pour the melted butter over the cake mix. It won't cover everything but it will spread in the oven.
Bake in the oven, uncovered for about 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
Allow to cool about 10-15 minutes before serving. We like to serve this with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream!
