2cupsItalian cheese blendreserving ⅓ cup for the top
1cupof parmesan cheese
1cupsour creamlight works fine too
6slicesof provolone cheese
1teaspoonsalt & ½ teaspoon pepperfor the cheese
1.5teaspoongarlic powder
1teaspoonItalian seasoning blend
Chopped basil for garnishtotally optional
Instructions
Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees.
Put a pot of water to boil for your pasta and cook pasta according to package directions.
While your water is boiling, chop your onion and green pepper.
Heat a large skillet on medium high heat and add your olive oil, chopped onion, chopped green pepper, ground beef, salt, and pepper.
Cook until the beef is browned throughout.
Drain if necessary.
In a medium sized bowl, combine your cream cheese, sour cream, Italian cheese, parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasonings. (make sure to reserve one cup of the italian cheese for the topping later)
Your pasta should be done by now so go ahead and drain it and set it aside.
Begin layering in the baking dish:
Add a few spoonfuls of you'r sauce mixture to the bottom of you pan,
Then add in half of your pasta.
Then spoon in all of your cheese mixture of the noodles.
Layer your provolone slices over the cheese mixture.
Then add in the rest of your noodles,
Pour the remaining sauce over the noodles.
Cover and bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
After the 30 minutes, remove your pan from the oven, uncover and top with remaining cheese.
