  • 1 pound breakfast sausage (We use mild)
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 3 cups milk (whole or 2% are best)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 6-8 biscuits for serving (RECIPE HERE)

  • Heat a skillet (I use a cast iron) over medium heat.
  • Add in the breakfast sausage and break it up into smaller bits. Cook until fully browned.
  • Sprinkle the flour over the cooked sausage and combine until you see no more white. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  • Slowly pour in the milk and seasonings and bring to a simmer. Allow the gravy to bubble for about 10 minutes. It should be nice and thick when finished.
  • Serve over warmed biscuits and enjoy!
